Kate was all smiles as she offered a lovely plate of nibbles to participants at the Corowa Cricket Club’s Pink Stumps Day last year.

Pink is the colour to wear on the day, so get the girls together for a great cause and support this year’s Corowa Cricket Club’s Pink Stumps Day.

Corowa Cricket Club is set to participate in the spirit, energy and fun of the international Pink Cricket Test by bringing the event to town for Pink Stumps Day on Saturday.
Local cricketers will be showing off their cricket skills to raise money for the McGrath Foundation’s Pink Stumps Day when they host Beechworth Cricket Club at Ball Park.
An exciting variety of entertainment to accompany the cricket action is planned to from 3pm to 6pm.
Corowa Cricket Club Pink Stumps Day committee member Tamara Lavis said she was looking forward to what she hoped would be another successful fundraising event.
“We are hoping for perfect weather to greet us again this year and I can’t wait to see the cricket club become a sea of pink,” she said.
“Each year we are just amazed and overwhelmed by the generosity of local businesses who either make monetary donations or donate some really substantial raffle prizes. Each year our event just continues to grow bigger and it’s amazing.
“Together we can make a great difference in supporting the McGrath Foundation and we really hope to see everyone there.”
Pink Stumps Day provides an opportunity for teams, businesses, friends, families and anyone else to have fun playing cricket while raising money to fund McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities across Australia and to increase breast health awareness.
McGrath Foundation Ambassador and Director Tracy Bevan said Pink Stumps Day played a vital role in achieving the foundation’s mission of ensuring every family experiencing breast cancer had access to a dedicated breast care nurse, no matter where they live or their financial situation.
“Our McGrath Breast Care Nurses are at the heart of what we do at the foundation,” she said.
“They’ve supported over 49,000 families experiencing breast cancer.
“We’re encouraging everyone to step up to the crease and make each run count by getting behind Pink Stumps Day to help make this our biggest and pinkest yet.”
Tickets are $30 per person, which includes entertainment, market stalls, nibbles and pink bubbles.
Great raffle prizes are also to be won.
For more information on how you can become involved or purchase a ticket to attend the event phone Tamara Lavis on 0438 224 857.
