A Grade

CDHBU 22 defeated by Jindera 26.

A grade went down to Jindera in what could only be described as a disappointing game.

The defence continued to work overtime all game however the attack just couldn't capitalise on these turnovers.

Emily Boyle stepped up this week in defence and put on an absolute show getting intercepts and controlling the play down the court.

Teamed up in the defence end with Erica Hanrahan and Courtney McDonald the three moved incredibly and read the play well off each other.

Awards: BOC mug - Emily Boyle; Border Natural Therapies - Courtney McDonald; Essential Beauty - Erica Hanrahan.

B Grade

CDHBU 39 defeated Jindera 35.

B grade came into Saturday’s game determined for a win and after a tough fight they managed to get away in the last quarter winning 39-35 against Jindera.

Tam Lavis yet again played an outstanding game in defence getting multiple turnovers in the vital stages of the game.

Rachel Hanrahan also played amazingly in the goal ring, controlling the ball down the court and shooting exceptionally.

Awards: BOC mug - Tam Lavis; Meat on the Murray - Tam Lavis; Ebella Massage - Rachel Hanrahan.

C Grade

CDHBU 16 defeated by Jindera 41.

Another tough game for the girls.

The team tried something different and put Mel Stevenson into GK/GD.

She worked hard in the ring with Chonny and never gave up on a number of different shooters.

On comeback from injury Dege Dalrymple was consistent as always in the mid court.

Pressure down the court was great but unfortunately the ball would not go through the ring.

Thanks again to Brydee Lavis for filling in and Tegan for benching.

Another tough game expected next week as the girls go up against second-placed Howlong.

Hopefully the team can push through the last three games and enjoy the rest of the season.

Awards: BOC Mug- Mel Stevenson; Newmarket Hotel - Mel Stevenson; Health Culture - Danielle Dalrymple.

C Reserve
