Louise Shields is running for the upcoming Federation Council election on a ticket with her husband, Mark Shields.

Howlong resident Louise Shields plans to use her extensive business background in senior management roles to support ‘The Right Choice’ ticket being headed by her husband, Mark, in the upcoming Federation Council election.

Mrs Shields also joins Malcolm Goldsmith, Peter Opitz and Lisa Smowton on the ticket.
“I would like to see the election of as many of our members as possible,” she said.
Mrs Shields said she is actively involved in the team’s campaign and provides vital organisational support to place the team in the best possible position ahead of the September 9 election.
“Council customers, ratepayers across the local government area deserve quality representation from the new council,” she said.
“I am keen to see the newly elected council willing to listen to community concerns and consult with ratepayers regarding major initiatives to ensure correct decisions are made.”
Mrs Shields has been a Howlong Lions Club member for many years.
“I believe in community and in protecting the values and lifestyle of the town,” she said.
