D-Day for Federation Council’s election on Saturday, September 9 is fast approaching.

Residents are being encouraged to discover where they can vote on the day, with a number of venues throughout the Federation Council area to be set up as polling booths.
Corowa residents can visit either Corowa Public School in Honour Avenue or Corowa South Public School in Hume Street.
Howlong Public School in Hawkins Street will be a polling booth, while Mulwala Civic Centre in Melbourne Street is the place to go for Mulwala residents.
Oaklands Central School in Coreen Street, Urana Public School in William Street and Lowesdale Public School on the Riverina Highway will also be set up as polling booths.
Polling booths will be open on election day from 8am to 6pm.
If you are unable to cast your vote on election day you can cast a pre poll vote at the Returning Officer’s office, the Oddfellow’s Hall, Corowa, from now until Friday, September 8 or at the council office in William Street, Urana from Monday, September 4 until Friday, September 8.
Alternatively, you can apply for a postal vote. More information is available at www.vote.nsw.gov.au
Voting at Local Government elections is compulsory.
If you fail to vote at the Local Government elections you may receive a fine.
