Corowa bowls extravaganza

October 11, 2017

Essendon Bombers family - Terry, Joe, Neale, Anthony and Chris Daniher supporting the Daniher Drive.

Do you fancy meeting AFL great Neale Daniher in person?

The former Essendon captain and Melbourne coach will be at the Corowa RSL on Friday, October 13 from noon to 1.30pm.
Neale will be overseeing a Crackerjack challenge, a non-traditional game of ‘fast’ lawn bowls featuring members of his family and football players that he either coached or played with during his time with the AFL.
The Demons versus Bombers game will be a light-hearted competition with residents encouraged to come along and enjoy watching the game.
Neale told the Free Press he was looking forward to visiting Corowa as the Daniher Drive passes through town.
The Daniher Drive is a four-day annual fundraising car rally that kicks off on October 12 and travels through regional Victoria and NSW to raise awareness and funds for vital Motor Neurone Disease research.
The rally involves 110 cars and many more participants who will visit the Corowa RSL for the lawn bowls challenge.
“This is part of our meet and greet while we travel around Victoria and NSW,” Neale said.
“We will be at Corowa for lunch, so there will be plenty of fun for everyone over the lunch time break.
“Then we are onto Echuca-Moama for a comedy auction night.”
There are still a limited number of tables available for purchase to the Comedy Gala Auction night at Dungula, Echuca.
Superstar comedians Dave Hughes and Adam Rozenbachs will perform at the event.
