Rutherglen Golf Club Ladies and Juniors

What a busy week - first Beechworth, no luck with bowl as the Tumba ladies were there and took all before them, what a great bunch of ladies.

But A. Sinclair and H. Eggleston came away with runner-up trophies, Annie in C grade with 35 pts and a raffle prize, as did Heather in B grade with 37 pts on a countback, also claimed S/VS and a raffle prize.

Then went to Wangaratta on Thursday and had 34 pts but only a ball, some good scores there and lots of wet gear.

This week is a slow one, Jenny Williams and H. Eggleston will play the final of the Louise Briers SKO, good luck to both girls.

We have the annual general meeting of the North East in Wangaratta on Friday.

Our ladies have still not quite made up their minds what time to start, so if you wish to make early arrangements with another player.

Results – Monday, October 19 - 9 holes - P. Cooper, r/up G. Carracher.

Wednesday, October 18 - 9 holes - P. Prescott, r/up L. Thompson.

Good Golfing

Still missing a couple, as even head coach Alf went missing this week and played golf in Finley, guess he was allowed a Saturday off.

The juniors played a few holes and first hole was not good but came good in the last few.

Paddy is playing very steady golf, winning with 21 and Ryn is getting much better, he had 28, both taking a couple of shots off from the last time, well done boys.

Paddy won the ball.

Until next week, please try and practice.
