Corowa Events have labelled the Christmas Street Festival a huge success after people of all ages turned out to enjoy the festival on Friday and Saturday evening.
Corowa residents and visitors were treated to a host of performances, including dances from Judy O’Malley’s School of Dance and school students performing Christmas carols.
There was a buzz of excitement around on Friday night as children enjoyed having their faces painted, joining in on the Christmas carols and even got to meet the big, jolly man in the red suit – Santa.
Children also had the opportunity to have their photo taken with Santa.
The Saturday event was just as successful with shop owners selling their wares and food operators also getting in on the gig.
Festivalgoers enjoyed the musical delights of the George MacFloyd Blues band, a display of classic hot rods and other cars, and Bridge Road Brewers were on hand to offer their tasty food and drinks.
Residents remarked about the town’s Christmas tree and how it had ‘come to life’ with the extra decorations.
