Indigo Shire Council is pleased to announce the appointment of Trevor Ierino as its new CEO from February.

The appointment was made following an extensive recruitment process facilitated by an external recruitment agency.
Mr Ierino is currently the Director Business Services at the City of Wodonga.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Studies (Accounting), is a Fellow of CPA Australia and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Mayor Cr Jenny O’Connor said she was thrilled with the appointment and believed there was never a better time to lead Indigo Shire Council.
“There is a real sense of possibility and opportunity amongst both councillors and staff,” Cr O’Connor said.
“Following the feedback from the community engagement earlier this year for our new Council Plan, we are focussing more on community engagement and working more closely with the community to enhance our prosperity and to make sure our heritage Shire has a bold future.
“Trevor has the experience, skills and qualifications to help guide the organisation on this important journey. Trevor understands the challenges facing rural communities, has a passion for community development and the business skills to ensure we remain on the right path.
“I am confident that he will help to advance our goals for improving how council works with the community and to meet any new challenges we might face.”
Mr Ierino said he was delighted to have been appointed as council’s new CEO.
“I look forward to working with the community, councillors and staff to deliver on council’s plans,” he said.
“I am passionate about working with, and for, communities, driving quality service delivery and leading a passionate and engaged workforce.”
Mr Ierino will take up the CEO role on February 20.
