Our star international golfer, Marcus Fraser, will playing a round of golf from 7.30am Saturday, January 6 at Corowa Golf Club, for those who want to follow him.
“It’s a wonderful opportunity to watch Marcus,” tournament organiser Shaun Whitechurch told the Free Press.
Some morning spots are still available for this weekend’s Marcus Fraser Ambrose event. At least 90 teams of three players have already booked to play Saturday and Sunday.
The big weekend hits off this Friday with the Friday Night Sprint, from 2.30pm to 6.00pm. It’s an optional 5-hole shootout with players arriving for a Meet and Greet fun hit with $800 in prizes for the 3 person 5 hole multiplier.
Hit off times for the 36-hole event are from 7.00am and 1.00pm. Fields have been restricted due to the heat experienced in previous years and this weekend is shaping up to again be hot.
Players will compete for over $20,000 in prizes. This year’s Hole in One prize on the 18th hole Sunday is a Gold Bar worth $20,000.
A great night’s entertainment will follow Saturday’s play, with entertainment by comedian Fred Lang and live band Toucan Rock.
The tournament is designed to generate money for the Corowa Golf Club, where Marcus’s career first started. He will again join many of his friends and supporters over the weekend and is looking forward to a little bit of R and R before he heads overseas for 2018.
