The Wangaratta Rod and Custom Club will host more than 80 entrants at its bi-annual Rod Run in Corowa over the weekend of March 9 to 12.
The event was moved to Corowa in 2012 following great support offered by the then Corowa Shire Council and many local sponsors.
The program starts on Friday night with a welcome barbecue and social evening for entrant and club members.
Saturday will see entrants take part in a poker run to Bundalong for lunch.
Saturday evening will see Sanger Street closed from 6pm until 9pm for entrants only cruise night.
This provides an excellent opportunity to photograph and enjoy the sight and sounds of these beautifully altered, street legal cars.
After a breakfast hosted by Wangaratta Rodders on Sunday the cars will be on show at Bangerang car park between 11am until 2pm at which time trophy presentations will take place.
Sunday evening will be enjoyed with a dinner dance at Corowa RSL Club.
Monday morning is farewell time at a pancake breakfast for entrants at Corowa Lawn Tennis Club.
Entries for this event have been received from throughout Victoria and NSW and as far afield as the south coast of NSW, with one couple travelling from Darwin in their 1930 Model ‘A’ Ford Roadster.
The WRCC has four members from Corowa and would welcome new members with Australian Street Rod Federation classified vehicles.
