Corowa Federation Arts Photographic Exhibition opened on Friday, March 9.
The inaugural event attracted 118 entries in the four categories of landscape, still life, creative and portrait.
At the opening event, the judge, renowned photographer Sue Davis announced and congratulated the winners of the 2018 competition who were Noel Outtrim (landscape), Vicki Cain (still life), Tina Fraser (creative) and Ann Killeen (portrait).
“This year’s standard of entries is extremely high and it has been a very difficult task selecting the winners,” Ms Davis said in her address.
She said the close connection that photographers develop with their subject was evident in the works on display.
“As photographers we “bear our souls” in what we present,” she said.
Visitors to the exhibition have commented on the beautiful presentation of the works and all have been in support of the move to Art Space gallery.
In previous years the photographic competition had been part of the Corowa Art Show which is held in January.
The photographic exhibition will remain at Art Space, Civic Centre Corowa until Sunday, March 18 and is open from 10am to 4pm every day.
All works are for sale.
