Ladies League Tag team wearing their new 2018 jerseys and shorts.

The Cougars faced the North Eastern Knights again on Sunday at Targoora Park.

Both Corowa teams were raring to go after coming off a bye week.

The Cougar ladies hit the field first, looking at making this their second win for the season.

Once again Emily Gardner proved to be an unstoppable force, crossing the line within the first minute.

Wangaratta retaliated, crossing over for a try but failed to convert.

The girls continued to control the game, not allowing the Knights to score again.

Try’s going to: Molly Brosnan, Mel Cooper, Vera Toppara and Emily Gardner.

The girls finished the game 28-4.

The boys stepped up next, hoping to also make it two from two.

Wangaratta came out strong and crossed over the line twice in the first half.

After a half time rev up, the boys came back strong.

Brian Harris was the first to cross over the line for Corowa and Bailey Muras broke through shortly after scoring more points for the boys.

The Cougars fought hard but unfortunately were not able to come back and went down to Wangaratta 16-8.

Once again thank you to all the 2018 Cougars sponsors and the supporters who made the trip to Wangaratta.

Weekly awards went to:
