The Corowa Historic Vehicle and Machinery Club are getting in early to spread the word about its winter weekend of fun.
An all-day vintage display at the club’s grounds on Redlands Road, Corowa will be held on both Saturday, June 2 and Sunday, June 3.
The vintage tractor pull and rally will have a focus on older style engines.
Club member David Williams would like to see some of the youth of today come along and get an up close look at all the tractors, older type engines and machines.
“We really want to push for the youth of today to become interested and possibly join our club,” she said.
“We have a lot of older members but not many young ones and every club in the area have the same problem.
“Our oldest member is 83 and our youngest is 32.”
Club member Russell Black said members were currently restoring a 1950 Ferguson tractor for the Willows Recreation area in Wahgunyah.
“The tractor has issues with its motor, so we are working on rebuilding it,” he said.
“We have just received the parts and are ready to re-assemble the motor.
“It should be ready in about a week.”
