The Cougars travelled to Wangaratta on Sunday to face Wodonga Storm in a Mother’s Day double header at Targoora Park.
Being one of the most experienced teams in the competition, the Cougar girls faced Wodonga for the first senior’s game of the day.
Wodonga came out strong scoring within the first 5 minutes of the game.
Emily Gardner retaliated putting the ball over the line at the 10-minute mark to even up the score.
Corowa came into the second half strong but were only able to score once with Wodonga scoring three times.
The girls fought hard until the end but were unable to come away with the win, the final score being 20-12.

The final score was 22-6.
The boys stepped up next facing a strong Wodonga side.
It wasn’t long before Jannssen O’Malley and Anthony Murphy came out of retirement and laced up the boots for run with boys.
The Cougars played a passionate game, with some big hits but were unsuccessful in putting any points on the board in the first half.
Archie was able to make a break and scored for the boys in the second half.
The Cougars played hard until the end but weren’t able to come away with the win.

Both teams played well and should be proud of their efforts.
The Cougars face the CSU Mud Dogs this Sunday at Sarvaas Park, Albury.
