Renewable Energy Systems, the company behind the two proposed solar farms near Deniliquin, will hold community information sessions at the Deniliquin Peppin Heritage Centre next week.
The sessions will be run as an open-house format and will allow those interested to learn more about the projects, with key project members in attendance to answer questions.
The first project, called Currawarra, is located 25km north-east of Deniliquin at Mayrung and is planned to generate up to 175MW of renewable energy, while the second project, Tarleigh Park, located 23km south-east of Deniliquin at Blighty, is designed to generate about half that amount (90MW).
Both projects will use ground-mounted solar panels with associated access tracks, a substation, operation and maintenance building, electrical cabling and fencing.
The sessions will be held on Tuesday, September 19 from 3pm to 7pm and Wednesday, September 20 from 9am to noon at the Deniliquin Peppin Heritage Centre, 295 George St, Deniliquin.
