THE second annual running of the Apex Gift will take place this afternoon.
Local clubs Echuca, Echuca United, Moama, Tongala, Kyabram, Leitchville-Gunbower and Lockington-Bamawm United will send their fastest senior male, senior female, and under-18 male and female runner over 100m.
The speedsters will descend on Jack Eddy Oval from 5pm tonight, with the first race beginning at 6pm.
Special events will take place from 6.45 onwards, which include the Bennett’s Biggest Boot longest kick competition which offers $300 for the winner.
There will also be the Edge FM Shootout for netballers, again with $300 for first prize, and the Riverine Herald Inclusion Relay from 7.15pm, featuring the Echuca Moama Rockets.
Then at 7.30pm the four categories sprint finals will start, with spot prizes and $5000 on the line for winning clubs and runners.
From 8pm onwards the presentations will take place along with live entertainment from Jammed Up — before proceedings will wrap up around 10pm.
