Rescue squad raffle

By Corowa Free Press

The Corowa Rescue Squad has drawn its major raffle for the year and also the auxiliary held its inaugural trivia night. Both were a great success with around $6,000 being raised for vital equipment, such as a new stokes litter.

1st prize – The Richmond premiership jumper was won by a very happy Vicky McDougall.

2nd prize – the toolbox was won by an even happier Terry Eyres.

The Corowa Rescue Squad would like to say a very big thankyou to The Richmond Football Club along with Ryan, Rod and Rosie Garthwaite for the donation of the Richmond jumper and to Peter Hughes for the wonderful framing work. Thanks also to Stewarts Automotive for the toolbox.

The trivia night went off with a bang with 11 tables, laughter and guessing of answers could be heard from the middle of the football oval. The night was enjoyed by all who attended, with local teams taking out the top three spots. Nights like these cannot be held without the support of the local community and we would like to thank the following:
