30 years young

Rutherglen and District Garden Club will hold their 30th annual Autumn Flower Show on March 17.

This is no mean feat for any club so the members of the Rutherglen and District Garden Club should be rightly proud of their endeavours.

The members are delighted to have been hosts of the Victorian Autumn Rose Championship for many of those years, and will once again host the 2019 championship.

Formed around the need to showcase the wide variety of talent found throughout the district, the show has grown into a large display averaging over 400 entries per year.

Roses, dahlias and other cut flowers, container plants, floral art and more ensure a great spectacle for all visitors.

A regularly updated schedule reflects the latest trends in the local gardens, enabling every exhibitor the opportunity to enter their special plant or bloom.

Congratulations to all involved with these 30 wonderful shows – and bring on the next 30.
