The inter club play off for the Business House 4’s was played last week at Rutherglen.
Civic finished the night on top after some very competitive competition.
It was a very successful event enjoyed by all the players and supporters and all the participants were in complete agreement with the prospect of this now becoming an annual event.
Newmarket triples were played on Sunday with a good roll up of people eager to enjoy a fun social day.
Winners on the day were G. McIntosh, B. Docherty and L. Wilson and thanks to the Newmarket Hotel for their sponsorship of the day.
Entries for the Easter tournament are available so get your teams together for pairs and triples events.
Please take note of these dates – Wednesday, April 3 at 6.30pm for dinner at the Golf Club for all members and partners.
Friday, April 26 at 6pm Presentation Night and Dinner at the Club.

The Club’s Annual Meeting will be on Tuesday, April 30 at 5.30pm.

The club’s annual Autumn Pennant event starts in May and runs for 6 weeks.
This is a popular event so put your names down to be in the fun.
Thursday afternoon there is a social roll up and anyone who would like to try playing the game would be most welcome.
Social bowls will continue Wednesday and Saturday.

Corowa Indoor Bowls
Congratulations to the Golden Oldies Team for their three-mat win at Chiltern, but unfortunately were piped at the post for first spot by the Wodonga mob.
Tuesday was an early start and with a barbeque lunch.
After a somewhat confused start Corowa had the first mat in the morning, then the second mat post alcohol.
It all resulted with the only two mat winners on 15 and 16 being; Kevin Culhane, Dave Chapman, Anne Smith, and Peter Manning. Runners up with a win and a loss of 15 and 4 were, Georgie Agnew, Doreen Pleming, Sue Bishop, and Shirley McGlone.
On Friday there was two 2 game winners with the team of Sue Bishop, Gus Sander and Anne Smith getting the win by a small margin over, Doreen Pleming, Dawn Sander, Joe Wilson and Peter Manning.
