A star studded football line-up including John Longmire, Peter Daicos and dual Brownlow Medalist Keith Greig will compete in the 2019 seventh annual Marcus Fraser Ambrose golf event on Saturday and Sunday, January 5 and 6.
That’s just the start! Also to appear in the major sponsor Mizuno event on the beautiful Corowa Golf Course will be come-back professional golfer Keiran Pratt who has beaten Tiger Woods.
Star St Kilda and Essendon AFL footballer and golfer Brendon Goddard will be back as will Rene Kink to join his former teammate Peter Daicos.
Racing identity – mounting yard form expert - Jack Dickins will be here. The professional punter from Melbourne will also be a welcome special guest.
“I’m thrilled with the many celebrities we’ve got coming who are playing and who will all be at the Sportsman’s Night on the Saturday,” tournament organiser Shaun Whitechurch told The Free Press.
“It will be a sensational night listening to these big name stars. Marcus’s dad John will again be the entertaining auctioneer on the night presiding over a lot of wonderful memorabilia for sale.
“It’s a wonderful opportunity to hear these stars and pick up some great sporting items at good prices.”
The usual Friday Night five-hole shoot-out with Meet and Greet Barbecue will kick off at 2.30pm.
Plenty of activities will be available for the youngsters including the Jumping Castle. There will be something for the whole family, the organizer promised.
But golfers wanting to play in this prestigious tournament of Corowa’s 40-year-old star international golfer want to get in quickly.
“Entries are up on last year’s at the same stage,” ‘Magro’ Whitechurch advised. “I envisage it being booked out by the end of this year.”
