The three-day regatta saw ideal conditions with Amy recording a personal best (PB) in her single scull on day one.
Amy and her fellow rowers were up against the best Open and Under 23 light weights who were using the regatta as part of the Australian selection for the 2019 World Championships.
Not to be overwhelmed, Amy came 1st in the B final of the single scull teaming with Luka from Corio Bay, came a close 5th in the double scull and the pictured girls above came 4th in the open quad scull on the last day.
Up against a quality field Tenille, Meg, Phoebe and Amy gave their all against the best lightweights in the country and will be better for the experience as average weights are required at the National Championships.
While Amy was competing the rest of the club was training hard for the upcoming Victorian State Championships held at Nagambie on March 2 and 3.
The club will be well represented in the Under 15 and grade events with great numbers around the club on the water.
Following the Nagambie regatta the club will be at Geelong for the School regattas before a trip to Essendon and Footscray and hopefully back to Penrith for the interstate regatta.New members area welcome as we complete the club events then move into the masters regattas in April and May while the younger rowers start pre-season training in May.
