Corowa Market held on Monday, April 8 saw 16,835 lambs yarded, an increase of 6,575 from the previous week. A total of 5,450 sheep were also yarded which was an increase of 449.

Numbers were significantly higher today off the back of good price lifts last week and some good rains across some of the supply area.
The quality was mixed with weights and grades on offer, with some well finished supplementary fed lambs offered.
All regular processors were present and despite the extra numbers, competition was strong and resulted in some good price trends in some categories.
Light weight lambs weighing 12-18kg were firm to $9 easier, selling to the processors from $72 to $130/head.
There were some excellent shorn trade lambs, with buyers happy to go that extra mile for the well finished lambs offered.
Trade weight lambs lifted $2 in places, with the light and medium trade making from $134 to $167, as the heavy trade sold from $163 to $182/head.
Well finished heavy lambs suiting the export and domestic processors also lifted $2, making from $178 to $194, while the extra heavy export lambs increased $9 to $11 to make from $190 to $252/head, averaging 702c/kg cwt.
There was a good offering of lambs suiting the restockers and feeder buyers, with the better lambs to the restocker making from $30 to $143, while the lambs going to the feed made from $115 to $144/head.
Some good hoggets were offered today, topping at $195/head.
Overall, it was a mixed quality yarding of mutton resulting in a price correction in places.
Medium weight 2 and 3 score ewes sold from $60 to $132/head.
The best of the merino 4 score ewes made to $170 and heavy crossbred ewes sold from $160 to $200/head.
