The $25,898 project will realign office space previously used for the Maternal and Child Health service and other internal areas to create more usable floor space.
As well as increasing the operational capacity of the current service, this project will increase the capacity in preparation for three-year-old kindergarten in 2021.
Works will include removing two office walls, repairing vinyl flooring affected by this demolition and the installation of lockable concertina doors to numerous cupboards.
Kindergarten director Jo Lucas welcomed the Victorian Government grant funding for the kindergarten which now has over 50 children attending at various times.
“We’re very happy about it and say thank you for the grant,” she told The Free Press.
“We’re very excited. It will open up the space, to meet the needs of the community.”
