The bridge closes daily from 9am to 3pm, between Monday 27 May and Friday 31 May. Crews will be performing routine cleaning, surveying and inspections, weather permitting.
Located on Bridge Road, the Murray River crossing connects Wahgunyah with Corowa. Pedestrian and cyclist access will be maintained throughout the work.
Detours will be in place via Federation Bridge on All Saints Road and Federation Way.
Motorists are advised to allow up to 10 minutes extra travel time while the bridge is closed.
A drone will also be in operation on John Foord Bridge on Monday 3 and Tuesday 4 June. Although the bridge will remain open during this time, motorists, cyclists and pedestrians will experience delays of up to 15 minutes.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
