Pink Teams Event postponed

The Corowa Golf Club and Kay Blakeley are alllooking forward to the inaugural Pink Teams Eventwhich has been postponed for now but will return ata later date

This weekend’s highly anticipated inaugural Pink Teams Event has been postponed as the region grapples the latest COVID-19 outbreak.

Erring on the side of caution after a member of staff tested positive for COVID-19, the Corowa Golf Club who are hosting the event decided it would be best to postpone.

The weekend charity golf event promised to be a big calendar event for the region this week after the Marcus Fraser Ambrose was pushed back until March.

As well as a two-day golf-event, a three-course dinner was to be held on the Saturday night with entertainment, raffles and an auction.

Event organiser Kay Blakely said while it was disappointing to have to postpone the entire event, it was the most appropriate decision.

“We are keen to make sure this event goes ahead and will announce a new date very soon,” she said.

“The planned raffle will still go ahead this weekend. We will be drawing that on Saturday. Tickets are still available to be purchased from the front of IGA on Thursday and Friday morning.”
