Junior B&F Count and Award Presentations

A packed Rutherglen clubroom was the venue for the Cats Junior B&F Count and Award Presentations on Sunday. 

The day kicked off with the under 12 boys each getting a medallion, with the B&F winner Luke Nicholson, runner up Archer Colvin, Most Improved Anden Ross and Coaches Award winner Mitch Francis, getting extra recognition with a trophy each. 

Midget Netballers were next with medallions presented to all the young girls from Coach Noel Halton. 

The 13 and under netball girls followed with Savannah Lewis being awarded the B&F and Charlotte Allison finishing runner up in a very close vote count. Charlotte Meyer took home the Most Consistent award for a very good season of netball. 

In the under 14 boys it was the big ruckman Indhi Kotzur who won the B&F award and Justin Lewis runner up. Most Consistent - Tyler Benbow, Most Courageous – Lachlan Webb, Most Improved – Ryan Milthorpe, Coaches Award – Finn Manderson and Leading Goal Kicker Justin Lewis.

Brooke Smith won the under 15’s netball B&F with Lola Walsh coming runner up and Emma Beattie winning the Most Improved.

The under 17 boys was another close count with Mitch Cofield winning the B&F, closely followed by joint runner ups in Kurt Schmidt and Sam Edmondson.

Most Determined – Henry Smits

Coaches Award – Tory Oats

Best first Year Player – Matt Halton

Leading Goal Kicker – James Plummer.

The Cats under18 netballers played finals again this year and their B&F winner was Jessica Oats with the runner up being the winner of the League B&F, Grace Watson-Long. This years Most Improved was Hannah Kilner and the Best in Finals award went to Jessica Oats.

The very special “Jess McLennan under 18 Rising Star” Award was this year given to Ally Halton. Ally has been a role model at the club this year with her commitment to coaching our young 13 and under netballers with former winner Lily Buckingham, while playing very well in the A Grade herself. 

All coaches, managers and volunteers of each grade of football and netball were showed appreciation for what they had achieved by acknowledgment from the players and coaches. A huge thankyou from the club to all coaches, for the hard work they put into making it another fantastic season.
