Cats announce coaches

After his tenure in 2006/7, he returned to North Ballarat to play in the VFL. 

He then proceeded to play in three successive Senior Premierships for Queenscliff in 2011/12/13, including two as coach. 

Steve will be an invaluable asset to the squad moving forward bringing a wealth of knowledge to the young group. 

In addition to this, Daniel Athanitis will again take the reins as Senior Coach, this time in his own right after sharing the role with Damien Wilson in 2019. 

In Daniel’s previous coaching roles, he has taken both Rand-Walbundrie and Milawa to grand finals in the Hume League and Ovens and King League respectively. 

Darren Hatton has also been appointed as a Senior Assistant Coach. 

Darren has been heavily involved behind the scenes in recent years after being the head coach in 2013. 

The club are very pleased to officially have him back onboard again for this year.

Duane Maloney returns as the Reserves Coach for 2020. 

The Cats are excited to have Duane and his family back at the Cattery! 

Duane’s knowledge of football and his vast coaching experience atjJunior and senior level will be a huge asset to the young group of senior players and to have Duane also coaching the Under 12 footballers, can only be a positive to the clubs’ growth into the future.

Matt Andison is again coaching the Under 17 boys, an assurance that they are in very capable hands. The Under 14 boys are also in good hands with Pat Beattie, Tim Keys and Brad Nicholson appointed as co-coaches for the upcoming 2020 season.

Senior training commenced last week and will continue each Monday and Wednesday at 6pm until the lead up to the start of the season. 

The Cats look forward to seeing the return of the current listed players and any new players wishing to join the successful club in 2020.
