These were the words of Keith Morrison who recorded 44 stableford points at Corowa Golf Club on Sunday, August 2 to be C Grade winner.
Mr Morrison, who plays off a handicap of 27, has been a member of Corowa Golf Club for over 40 years after moving to Corowa from Melbourne with his wife Wendy in 1975.
“We moved up to get out of the rat race,” the 86-year-old told The Free Press.
Mr Morrison started playing golf at the age of 18 and has always loved the sport.
“It’s outdoors and I enjoy the company. The social side of the game is great,” he said.
When asked about how COVID-19 restrictions were impacting his life, Keith replied that it’s just part of life now.
“It’s unsettling and a little boring not being able to do the things you want to, but it’s part of our world now and we just have to deal with it. At least we can still play golf!”
