The Tuesday social bowls saw only one team with two wins of 16 and 17, being the team of Sue Trembath, Anne Smith, Doreen Pleming, and Dawn Sander. The runners up on a win and a loss off 17 and 5 were Gwen Mills, Marj Pratt, Geraldine Monish and Steve Jones.
A slightly disappointing turn out on Friday saw a two mat winning team. They were Gus Sander, Anne Smith, Dot Roberts and Ines Dowsey.
RSL Bowls Club
It’s been a busy couple of weeks for the Corowa RSL Bowls Club recently.
On September 15 they hosted the bowling friends from Barooga, with over 40 bowlers taking part in a BBQ then afternoon of bowls, with both greens in use. Corowa RSL Bowls were the overall winners on the day, but all around it was just a great afternoon of competition.
On Sunday September 22 the club had a weekend pennant practice match and once again there was a good turnout of 40 plus bowlers.
To members, if you’re still thinking of playing midweek or weekend pennant you can still nominate by contacting the midweek or weekend selectors. It’s great to have all bowlers back from the north who sought out the warmer weather over the winter months.
Good bowling to everyone for the up and coming season.
Civic Bowls Club
