With the days becoming warmer it is encouraging to see lots of members out on the greens.
The O&M Bowls Pennant draw was released this week, the first game for Weekend Pennant kicks off on Saturday October 12 and mid-week Tuesday October 15. There will be a pennant practice match between Corowa Civic Bowls Club and Rutherglen Bowling Club on Saturday September 21 and will be played at Civic starting with a sausage sizzle at 12 Noon, bowls will start at 12.30pm. Please add your name to the sheet in the tunnel.
Belle of the Green will be played on Thursday September 19 at 9.30am.
Cannonball Open Pairs will take place on Sunday September 29 at 9.30am, good prize money – add your name to the list in the tunnel.
Ladies and Mens Championship Pairs will be held on Sunday October 13 – entries close on October 6.
The Club is putting on a musical night for our members and guests on Wednesday September 25 at 7pm. Cameron Mason and Leigh Moneghetti will be giving us Best Songs of all time and some Country. Bookings to Jude.
Medley Roundup has commenced and will continue for the next few weeks on a Wednesday morning.

Club Mixed Pairs
The final of the Club Mixed Pairs was played on Spetember 15. It was a very close game, and in fact anybody’s to the last end with final scores of 50 to 45. Congratulations to the winners: Annette Norman and Colin Hendren, commiserations to the runners up, Margaret Watson and Lynton Ford.
A good game that was well played by all and exciting to watch.
Corowa Indoor Bowls
Many of the Corowa Indoor Bowls Club members spent the weekend away at a big tournament in draughty old Echuca. The players are happy to be back home to the warmth of Corowa.
A tired start to the week but there were three mats down for the Tuesday Social and both top teams had a win and a loss.
On 17 and 4(21) the winners were Gwen Mills, Sandra Dudziak, Sue Bishop, and Sue Trembath.
The runners up on 3 and 17(20) were Ken Pleming, Gus Sander, and Peter Manning.
No interclub games played this Thursday (the flu is taking its toll).
The Friday social was a two-mat affair with only one 2 mat winners, and on 17 and 16(33) they were Doreen Pleming, Gus Sander, and Anne Smith.
The runners up on a win and a loss of 16 and 4 (20) were Ken Pleming, Terry Fletcher, and Dianne Fletcher.
