Brooke Ferwerda and her Lavington opponent clash in the C Grade game.

Sophie Schulz takes possession of the ball in the juniors clash.

A Grade

Roos 31 defeated by Lavington 48.

A well fought game but unforced errors proved costly.

Lavington used this to its full advantage and with the away team not giving away anything it was a game of catch up.

To our credit the girls fought hard, kept trialling plays and adjusting. A team to the end.

Awards: Sullivans Hair & Beauty – Simone Hanrahan – Last game with us and went out with a bang. We are so grateful to have you back around the court.

Club 1 – Liv Sinclair – Great direction to her team. Transitioned well from attack to defence.

Club 2 – Em Laracy – Great defensive game. Long limbs kept the attack end thinking.

Doc Yarrum – Ella Kingston – Her athleticism was a stand out. Great persistence.

Ladies Committee  – Sophie Hanrahan – A hard working game against persistent defence.

Greg Leahy Award – Jess King – For her commitment around the club

B Grade

Roos 25 defeated by Lavington 41.

A hard-fought game with great teamwork. Our inability to capitalise on our possession of the ball led to the loss.

Awards: Sullivans Hair & Beauty and Origin Clothing – Leah Keating – Dynamic defence deflections and pressure on the shooters the whole game.

Club 1 – Grace Kingston – Persistence and timing were excellent. She passed well, was reliable in her game play and position drive.

Club 2 – Cath Wood – A determined game, she played the whole game in WD and centre and never gave up. Very positive and did not leave anything behind.

Ladies Committee – Georgie Bruce – She worked hard with Leah, was very smart and kept pressure on the shooters.

C Grade

Roos 20 defeated by Lavington 50

The Roos had a slow start against Lavington but eventually played their game and stepped it up. Our defenders Belinda, Grace and Sarah did an awesome job against their tall shooters and didn’t give up for one minute. A strong last quarter but Lavington were too strong. Great passages of play were a credit to the girls who played hard right to the end.

Sullivans Hair & Beauty and Club 1 – Sarah Borbidge, Club 2  – Emma Sinclair, Essential Beauty – Brooke Ferwerda, Ladies Committee – Grace Hanrahan

16/U

Roos 21 defeated by Lavington 38

The Roos were very competitive this week and matched it with Lavington most of the game. Unforced errors were the only let down. Our defensive end was awesome again and we are sowing glimpses of brilliance more and more. We just need to package it up for the whole game.

Sullivans Hair & Beauty and Ladies Committee – Sophie Schulz, Club 1 – Ella Morley, Club 2 – Brooke Ferwerda Sportspower – Molly King.
