The Power were up to the challenge against Howlong as they showed that they could match it with the league’s top side.
It was a good tough clean game which went goal for goal until the end.
Sisi and Shay were shooting well and Grace, Brooke and Laura were holding up well in defence.
Georgia, Hannah and Keely did a great job in the mid court as no team had control.
It was the last two minutes when they got the break to slip out to win by three goals.

This was one of the best games the girls have all played as a team, the play seemed to flow a lot better down the court.
The Power had a few position changes which showed Bronte and Megan both playing beautifully in the attacking ring, with the help of Michelle who was feeding the ball perfectly.
Although they weren’t strong enough for the Spiders, the team definitely walked away with more positives than negatives.

The girls took the court today with so much positivity.
They used their channels well and it paid off.
Defensive end worked hard to keep the shooters out and to cut off plays.
Well done girls the score didn’t reflect how hard you played.

The girls came out like they were already defeated, Howlong are a very strong team and the team was intimidated by them. Soph and Eloise fought hard in defence all game giving 100 Percent.
After some harsh feedback from the coach at quarter time they pulled their finger out, came out and played their game.
There were still patches of play that were good, but the score just got away from them.
The team needs to do some more work at training on simple things like driving to the ball, not crowding each other, dropping back and to make space and re-driving.

The girls worked hard at training knowing that they would have a tough game on Saturday and would need to give it their all to stay second.
They put into play some of the things they had worked on at training and showed their determination which paid off in the end.
Lucy played a strong wing defence in the last quarter, while Kara played good in centre for three quarters. Tamir and Niamh worked well together in goals while Jade and Evie were strong in defence.
Elise played well in wing attack while Sommers had a very strong game in wing defence. Awesome work girls, well done
