Corowa Ladies Probus Club
The Corowa Ladies Probus Club will be meeting at the Corowa RSL Club on Monday 21 May at 10.30am.
The meeting will be followed by morning tea and a guest speaker.
Visitors are very welcome, as are new members.
Probus membership is open to retired and semi-retired ladies.
Wahgunyah Senior Citizens
Wahgunyah Senior Citizens invites interested people to come along and join them on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month in the School of Arts Hall, Foord Street Wahgunyah.
Various activities such as cards, bingo and indoor bowls are conducted followed by afternoon tea.
Day trips and other functions are also organised throughout the year.
New members are always warmly welcomed.

Historical Society History Hour
Mr Geoff Lewis will be the guest speaker at the Historical Society History Hour on Thursday, May 17 at 2.00pm at the Federation Museum, Queen Street, Corowa.
Geoff will outline the history and development of the town water supply.
He will no doubt outline the trials and tribulations of installing a water system for a town in the early 1900’s.
“As the town grew so the water supply problems increased” -- but a water supply was installed.
Geoff has been working with Council for many years and has some interesting stories to tell.
This is a free event and will be followed by a cup of tea/coffee, June’s Anzac biscuits and the opportunity to browse the Museum to discover other interesting facts about Corowa’s development. Everyone is welcome.
Rutherglen Red Cross
The Rutherglen Red Cross Branch thanks the community of Rutherglen for supporting the March Appeal Street Stall.
It raised $ 755.00 which will be distributed to people in need anywhere in Australia.The next meeting will be held on Monday the 21st of May at the Glenview Community Centre, Indigo Health, Rutherglen. Everyone interested is welcome to come along.
The next Street Stall is going to be held on Friday the 25th May 2018 at Golling Square.
The proceeds of this Street Stall will go to Patient Transport.

Corowa Cancer Support Group wish to advise that we are unable to host a Big Morning Tea this May. Our next meeting will be held on Thursday 17 May in the CWA Rooms, River Street, Corowa (opp IGA car park) at 10.00am.

Rutherglen & District Garden Club
Rutherglen & District Garden Club will hold its Monthly Meeting on Monday, May 28 commencing at 7.30pm at the Senior Citizens Hall, Douglas Street, Rutherglen.
We are fortunate that this month Jean Kingston, and maybe Gus Kingston, will talk to us about their amazing garden telling us how it got started, where the parts came from for Gus’s fabulous sculptures and how all the things are put together to make the garden what it is.
You will have the opportunity to ask questions. There will be a trading table and competition table.
Competition special section will be divided into two sections – one for Best pot of African Violet and the other for Best Chrysanthemum. The arrangement is “Mother’s Day Arrangement”.
Photography section is “Morning Dew”, also monthly other cut or bloom and fruit and vegetables.
Support your Club and come along, bring a friend, bring a plate for supper.

Murray Valley Orchid Club meeting
The next general meeting of The Murray Valley Orchid Club will be held next Sunday, May 20, in the Senior Citizens hall in Hovel street Yarrawonga.
The hall will be opened at 12.15 pm for setting up and plants must be benched by 1.15 for judging.
The meeting will start at 1.30 sharp.
Our guest speaker will be Anna from Lawranna Orchids in Beechworth, so come along and listen to an expert.
If you missed out at our Orchid sale in Belmore street last Saturday, Anna will have more of her lovely orchids for sale at the meeting.
