Midweek Pennant

Division A1 94/49 – played at Rutherglen. The team got off to a good start and were able to continue and finish with a very good result. J. White and C. Hendren’s rinks had eight and 12-shot wins but the stars for the day were playing in T. Webb’s rink finishing 25 shots up, well played by all.

Division 3 49/70 – played Wodonga at home. M. Watson and B. Docherty’s rinks were unable to match their opponents, however S. Rodway’s rink battled their way to the end and were able to hold onto a 5-shot win, overall Wodonga were too consistent.

Division B2 69/71 – hosted Myrtleford. What a great game this was as the results show it was close all game. R. McNulty lost by two shots, D. Wood went down by the dreaded one-shot, and J. Willet’s rink held onto a one-shot win. It doesn’t get much closer than that, it was a great game, well done to everyone.

Weekend Pennant

Division A1 96/90 – played Yarrawonga under lights on Friday night. Both teams were playing very well and the overall scores were close all night. G. Leahy and C. Hendren went down by 11 and 7 shots. T. Webb and D. Hayman’s rinks finished 10 and 14 shots up to give the team a good win on the night.

Division A3 95/87 – played at Rutherglen. This was a very good game with the results decided over the last couple of ends. G. McIntosh’s rink went down by four, K. Hoey finished one up, B. Docherty’s rink three in front and K. Taylor’s rink held onto an eight-shot win. Well played by all.

Division B2 41/90 – travelled to Mulwala. It was a long trip home, Mulwala were playing very well and Civic found it difficult to score on the day. Better luck next time.

Division B5 had the bye in this division.

The club men’s pairs final has been decided. L. Reynoldson and W. Mills played D and T Webb.

The Webb brothers were on fire and Len and Wayne found few opportunities to make their bowls count.

Congratulations to Thomas and Danny Men’s Pairs Champions.

Further rounds of various Ovens and Murray events will continue over the next couple of weekends and results will be advised.

See you on the green.
