The three Corowa representatives are in the squad of 35 which will be cut to 22 plus three emergencies for the match.
The team will be coached by Albury’s Tim McGrath who said there are some great juniors in the squad.
“With the Goulburn Valley league we spoke about how we want to give kids who haven’t had the exposure through the Bushrangers an experience to play at a higher level,” he said. “It’s a really good opportunity for them.”
Corowa’s Under 18 coach George Sandral agrees. “It’s a great opportunity for the players,” he told The Free Press.
“They’re playing really good footy and worked hard during the off season so it’s reward for that hard work and good play. It’s very exciting for them and our club.”
Ryan is the son of Robyn and Russell Beveridge, Patrick is the son of Tam and Paul, and Finn the son of Michelle and Marcus. Sandral rates the trio’s chances of making it to the team of 22 as good.
“Patrick is an X-factor forward who has genuine pace and incredible athleticism,” Sandral said. “Ryan is a goal kicking machine – he already has kicked 32 goals from five games this season – and Finn is a hard working midfielder with the ability to go forward and kick goals.”
For more information for Roos’ fans, George, who is his first year coaching, hopes to return from his second ACL back to back in late June.
