The Men’s Club Singles semi-finals and the Ladies Single final were played in lovely weather, very little breeze making for very good bowling conditions on Sunday.
Ladies Singles
Margaret Watson and Sue Curtis played a very exciting game. By the tenth end with the score very even, Margaret got ahead and appeared to have the game under control but Sue didn’t give up and kept chipping away and came away the title 25-22. Congratulations Sue.

Club notices:
The RSL Bowls Club would like to bid a fond farewell to Ketch and Susie who are moving to Queensland in the next couple of weeks, we hope their move goes smoothly and they enjoy their bowls in the North.
It is with much sadness that we remember one of our past members, Berwyn Baddeley who passed away last week.
Berwyn joined Corowa Services Bowling Club with his wife Rosemary in 1993 when they moved from Apollo Bay to Corowa. Berwyn was on many committees, he was an O&M delegate, vice president of the bowls club in 1998/99and then became president. He also serviced a second term as president in 2004/05.
During his bowling career he had many achievements: minor singles champion 1999/2000, member of the runner up side O&M Pennant Division A 2003/04, and a member of the side which won the State Division 2 Pennant in 2004/05 and more.
Berwyn is remembered as a great club man. The club would like to pass on our deepest sympathy to his wife Rosemary and his extended family. His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, 27 November at 11am at St Mary’s Presbyterian Church.
Further reminders: there is a BBQ following our Pennant games on Saturday, 30 November followed by our Christmas Party on Sunday, 8 December. Please place your names on the board if you haven’t already done so.
