The Pakistan Cricket Board said on Thursday the three-match ODI series against Australia would overlap with the conclusion of the Indian Premier League.
The series is part of Australia's second half of a white-ball tour to Pakistan that started with a three-match T20 series in January and early February ahead of the T20 World Cup. Pakistan won that series 3-0.
Australia will arrive on May 23 and play the first ODI in Rawalpindi on May 30. Lahore will host the remaining two games on June 2 and 4.
After the series in Pakistan, Australia will head to Bangladesh for an ODI and T20I campaign beginning on June 9.
The IPL's regular season concludes on May 24, followed by the playoffs, with the final in Ahmedabad on May 31.
Australians playing at franchises in the running to feature in the playoffs include recent centurion Cooper Connolly, Xavier Bartlett and Ben Dwarshuis (all Punjab Kings), and Matthew Short (Chennai Super Kings).
If these players were involved in the finals, they could link up with the Australian squad in Bangladesh instead.
Other Aussies playing in the IPL whose sides will miss the finals include Mitch Marsh and Josh Inglis (both at Lucknow Super Giants), and Cameron Green (Kolkata Knight Riders).
It will be Australia's first bilateral ODI series in Pakistan since their last  50-over campaign there in 2022.
Last year, Australia played Champions Trophy games in Pakistan that included a victory over England at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
