Dulux has unveiled its colour forecast for 2027, exploring the colours set to shape Australian homes through three distinct palettes, Play, Treasure and Sensory.

Curated by Dulux colour and design manager Lauren Treloar and colour marketing lead Lilybet Holt, the annual forecast draws on calming blues, comforting botanical tones and sophisticated jewel-like shades.
Each palette reflects a craving for authenticity, meaningful connections and the celebration of spontaneous moments.
“The palettes reflect an urgent desire to create spaces that feel more personal, expressive and deeply human,” Lauren said.
“Across each of the three palettes there is a return to softened yellow-greens and blues with grey and purple undertones that captivate our collective longing for grounding.
“Simultaneously, bright berry and cherry accents serve as markers of personality and optimism, injected sparingly across spaces.”
The Play palette infuses interiors with vibrant energy, capturing the essence of analogue interaction and the charm of imperfect everyday moments.
Packed with soft pastels, Dulux Play is a colourful collection of muted lilacs such as Dulux Stately Frills, calming blues like Dulux Powder Blue Half, spearmint greens including Dulux Catnap, and zesty orange and berry accents like Dulux Temptress and Dulux Baca Berry.
The Treasure palette moves away from stark minimalism towards restrained maximalism, using rich tonal layering and classical influences.
This palette enlivens spaces with deep blues like Dulux Precision and Dulux Madonna, lush crimsons such as Dulux Raspberry Fool, and berry shades like Dulux Rich Red Violet.

The Sensory palette is a tribute to mindful living, interwoven with Japanese influences and conscious craftsmanship.
The palette encompasses natural tones with layered greens such as Dulux Field Maple and Dulux Moorland, warm neutrals like Dulux Buttercookie and Dulux Humble Fawn, and near-black browns including Dulux Dark Cocoa and Dulux Sweet Chocolate.
While the Sensory palette focuses on mindful living with natural tones and Japanese influences.
