Director and site operator Nick Holland said the Echuca-based business carries a proud family legacy.

Nick began his roofing career young, starting out at just 12 years of age during school holidays at his parents' roofing business.
“Hearing stories of my grandfather and watching my dad and older brothers growing up has been a big influence on me personally,” he said.

Regular inspection for a tiled roof includes checking:
- Checking if there is solid mortar holding the ridge caps in place, and that it’s not cracking or crumbling.
- The flexi pointing top layer on the mortar is smooth, cohesive and isn’t peeling away.
- Amount of build-up of debris and moss in valleys, gutters and on tiles, and checking it’s obstruction to water flow from highest point of roof to gutter.
- Looking for any tiles or ridgecaps that may be broken by other trades, weather events or age.
- Flashings and valleys are sealed and water tight
Nick also challenges the perception that tiled roofs are more costly to maintain than iron roofs over time.
“A regularly inspected and maintained tiled roof will actually reduce the amount of money being spent over the lifetime of the roof,” he said.
“Iron roofs themselves are not immune to leaking, wear and tear, and require regular maintenance, including replacement of washers, flashings and valleys, and washing and painting.”
