To the Class of 2026 completing high school, you now have the skills, knowledge and experience to take on the next chapter of your journey. For many of you, exams are just around the corner.
You’ve put in the hard work and now it’s time to show everything you’ve learned.
Some of you have also undertaken vocational qualifications alongside your studies, gaining practical skills that will open doors and prepare you for exciting opportunities in the workplaces of tomorrow.
To those completing primary school, well done.
This marks a significant step in your educational journey. As you head into high school, know that your teachers, support staff and principals will be there to guide and support you every step of the way.
To all students, we hope you take pride in your achievements. Whether you’re moving on to an apprenticeship, TAFE, university, the workforce, or beginning high school next year, you should look back with pride at how much you’ve learned and grown.
As the school year draws to a close, with exams, graduations and celebrations ahead, don’t forget to take a moment to reflect and enjoy these final days with your classmates and friends.
Our thanks also go to the many parents, carers and school staff who have guided, supported and encouraged students throughout their school years.
And finally, remember that marks and grades are just one measure of success.
No matter what your ATAR or study scores may be, they are just one step in your journey and do not define your future.
Whether you’re starting Year 7, beginning a new job, continuing your studies at TAFE or university, taking a gap year, or starting an apprenticeship, we wish you every success in whatever path you choose.
From all of us at the Shepparton News, congratulations and best wishes for the next chapter.
