Three dead following multi-vehicle highway collision

The driver of one car and two people inside a truck were declared dead at the scene.

Victoria Police said the driver of the other car was taken to hospital as a precaution, while paramedics also transported another person to hospital.

The three people who died are yet to be formally identified and police have not released any further details about them.

Detectives from the major collision unit are investigating and the exact circumstances of the collision have not yet been established.
