The Federation Museum will host its last History Hour later this month which will profile the lives of brave local fighters who went off to war.
A group of six enthusiastic students from the Corowa High School have been working in conjunction with the local RSL members to research and investigate local boys who went off to war.
The ultimate aim of the project is to have researched every name on the Corowa War Memorial so that these names are no longer ‘just names’ but real people who have left a footprint on local and national history.
These amazing students have delved into the archives, including the Corowa Free Press, and have discovered some fascinating and interesting facts and have been rewarded with an insight into war and the effects of it that few others have. These students and their teacher, Mr Martin Douglas, will be the guest speakers at the November History Hour - a History Hour different from all previous events.
It will be hosted at the Federation Museum on Thursday, November 21 at 2.00pm.
Visitors will be sure to take home some interesting insights as these students share what they have discovered. Everyone will be welcome at this free event at the Federation Museum, Queen Street, Corowa.
