Allan St will be completely closed to vehicle traffic between Church St and Albion St, creating an easy, relaxed and pedestrian-friendly shopping precinct complete with free parking across town.
The Kyabram Chamber of Commerce brings the market to the community, and organisers are urging residents and visitors from neighbouring towns to join for a fantastic day out with the family.
The spring makeover puts Kyabram’s busiest commercial strip directly in the spotlight.
By removing traffic for the day, hundreds of attendees can stroll freely and explore the town’s unique retail and dining offerings in a festive, giant street-fair atmosphere.
The event is the ideal launchpad for early Christmas shopping, giving visitors a chance to kick-start their holiday lists in a vibrant, friendly atmosphere.
Featuring over 30 to 40 carefully selected street and visiting stallholders, the market offers an eclectic mix of high-quality goods, condensing a month’s worth of markets into one extraordinary day.
Shoppers can browse through a variety of homewares, fashion, plants, arts and crafts, handmade bath and body products, jewellery, honey, relaxation and beauty offerings.
Lining the main street alongside retailers will be delicious food stalls, choice offerings from local cafés and pubs, street entertainment, sausage sizzles, jumping castles, face painting, balloon art, temporary tattoos and free activities for the kids.
The Kyabram Uniting Church will also hold its traditional annual photo exhibition and sale in the Uniting Church Hall.
Community groups, service organisations, and non-profits play an active role in the festivities, showcasing their initiatives and offering information to residents.
Participating organisations include the Kyabram Rotary Club, Kyabram Lions Club, Merrigum Lions Club, Sheridan Kyabram CWA, Kyabram Fire Brigade, Kyabram Town Hall Gallery, Kyabram Plaza Theatre, Kyabram P-12 College, Warramunda, Kyabram District Health, Elder Rights Advocacy, Kyabram Garden Club and the Kyabram Yarn Bombers.
All Allan St businesses are encouraged to join the street-side celebration.
From long-standing icons like Intersport Kyabram setting up marquee sidewalk sales out front, to hairdressers and Pilates studios interacting with shoppers, every business gets involved.
Participating Kyabram Chamber of Commerce businesses also distribute Lucky Shopper voucher giveaways to spend over the market weekend.
Kyabram boasts a remarkably vibrant business sector, and the spring market proudly celebrates community spirit and everything the town has to offer.
