The Arcadia site is a spacious, five-bedroom residence, which was once part of the motel.
It has been thoughtfully transformed into a warm and welcoming office and service space.
Amaranth Foundation chief executive Julianne Whyte said the move marked more than just a change of address.
She said it was a strategic and community-focused step toward delivering more person-centred, efficient, and sustainable services across the region.
A warm and welcoming front office space for all clients.
“By co-locating the office with our accommodation services, Amaranth is consolidating our operations in a way that will enhance service coordination, improve accessibility for clients, and reduce administrative costs,” Julianne said.
“Most importantly, it allows the Foundation to be more responsive to the individual needs of people living with disability or accessing aged care by offering support that is integrated, dignified, and affordable.
“This is a place where people are welcome; whether you’re from Corowa or further afield, we invite the community to visit us and see firsthand how we work alongside individuals and families.”
The move also supports Amaranth’s commitment to environmental sustainability.
The previous office space was a large, aging building, increasingly expensive to maintain, and energy inefficient.
By contrast, the new premises offer a smaller environmental footprint, aligning with Amaranth’s values of social and ecological responsibility.
The Foundation’s leadership acknowledged the longstanding support provided by the Challenge Foundation during its time at Redlands Road.
“We are incredibly grateful to Challenge Foundation CEO Oscar Gentner and his secretary Barbara Robinson, whose generosity and support have enabled us to grow and thrive in their space over many years,” Julianne said.
Looking ahead, the move creates new possibilities.
Amaranth’s new premises has a pool and can provide accomodation on site.
With more usable space now at hand, Amaranth is planning the development of innovative disability and aged care programs that will make the most of the Arcadia site’s unique features.
This includes expanding medium and long-term motel-style accommodation for people in need, a critical and often under-resourced area in regional communities.
As a registered charity passionate about delivering services with heart, Amaranth Foundation continues its mission to walk alongside people navigating complex life experiences with dignity, purpose, and care.
