Last month saw a combined changeover evening with Rutherglen Lions Club members, partners and guests welcoming Corowa Lions Club members, partners, and guests to the Rutherglen Golf Club.

A terrific evening was held, which was extremely well catered for with a roaring open fire, plenty of talking amongst themselves and a wonderful meal catered for by the Golf Club catering team.

On this evening, Lions thanked the office bearers of both clubs from the previous year and welcomed new ones to lead the clubs into the following year.
Past presidents presented some members with certificates of appreciation, acknowledging all members for their support of all projects and fundraising efforts.
Rutherglen Lions Club were privileged to be the first visit from new Lions District Governor Allison Kazenwadel.
DG Alison and PDG Steven came to the club on July 16 where a lovely meal of casseroles and Lions plum pudding with the works was shared.
Alison thanked everyone for the work done on behalf of Lions and gave encouragement to keep going.

Allison also presented treasurer Kerry, with a James Richardson Award for services as secretary and treasurer over the past few years.

Rutherglen Lions Club has had a terrific year with catering and market stallholders payments and were able to give more than $12,000 back into the community and Lions projects further afield.
Without the market fees the club would not be able to support the community and Lions as much, so the club is very grateful to everyone who supports the market each month.
