The free family event will run from 11am to 1pm, with organisers promising plenty of trick-or-treating, activities, treats and prizes.
Deni MHAG president Lourene Liebenberg encouraged families to start their adventure at the group's site in Cressy St, between the Edward River Art Society Gallery and Sunday School Hall.
From there, participants can collect a Safe Trick-or-Treat map, with both shorter and longer walking routes available.
Families will also find local service providers offering giveaways, resources, treats and Halloween-themed activities, while volunteers from Deniliquin High School will provide face painting throughout the event.
Safety remains a priority, with volunteers stationed at designated crossings along the routes. Younger children should be supervised by a responsible person at all times.
Once the trick-or-treating is complete, participants can vote for their favourite business or activity by returning their completed map to the Deni MHAG site.
"Everyone who returns their completed voting form will go into a lucky draw to win a $100 Shop Deni voucher,“ Mrs Liebenberg said.
“The Rotary Club of Deniliquin will once again provide a free sausage sizzle, while the Rural Fire Service will also join the festivities this year.
“Families are also encouraged to visit the Cressy Street Kiosk, where entries in the Halloween colouring competition will be on display.
"Dress up, bring your family and friends, and join us for a Spook-tacular Halloween!"
Despite rain forecast for Saturday, organisers say the event will proceed unless severe weather makes it unsafe.
“At this stage, thunderstorms are not expected, and organisers are hopeful any rain will clear before the festivities begin,” Mrs Liebenberg said.
"We encourage everyone to bring along a brolly, whether it's to keep dry or to provide a little shade if the sun comes out!"
Beyond the costumes and lollies, the event also carries an important community message - mental health is not as scary as you think.
Mrs Liebenberg said the day was an opportunity for people to connect and support one another, reinforcing the ‘In Deni, we look out for each other’ motto being used this year.
The free event is sponsored by Origin, with further support from the Rotary Club of Deniliquin, Channel4Change, Edward River Art Society, Ace Radio, Deniliquin Pastoral Times and Edward River Council.
For those wanting even more Halloween fun on Saturday after the MHAG event has finished, Navorina invites trick-or-treaters to visit between 2pm to 4pm.
