The modern facility is designed to meet growing demand, increasing parcel processing capacity while improving efficiency, safety and sustainability.
The delivery centre has the capacity to process more than 225 parcels per day, increasing to around 350 during peak periods, supporting continued growth in online shopping across the region.
The spacious 450m² layout incorporates a dedicated letter processing area and a large warehouse to enable efficient truck unloading and parcel sorting.
A fully electric site, powered by rooftop solar panels, reinforces Australia Post’s commitment to more sustainable operations.
Australia Post’s Executive General Manager Network Operations, Shane Plant said that with the continued growth in e-Commerce and online shopping, the new site has the capacity to keep pace with demand and maintain reliable, on-time delivery for customers.
“This purpose-built facility not only boosts efficiency but also provides a safer, more modern working environment for our team members,” Mr Plant said.
“The opening of the Corowa delivery centre reflects Australia Post’s long-term commitment to strengthening services in regional communities and ensuring they remain well supported as customer needs continue to evolve.”
