The Benalla Street Art Festival continues to play a significant role in shaping the town’s reputation as a cultural destination in regional Victoria.

Bess Nolan Cook, chief executive officer of Tourism North East, said the event has a growing national impact.
“This festival is a beacon for cultural tourism in regional Victoria,” she said.
“It showcases Benalla Rural City as a hub of creativity and invites visitors from across the country to experience its unique charm.”

Together, these experiences position Benalla as a place where art, landscape and community intersect.
With 11 new murals joining an already impressive outdoor gallery of 90 plus pieces, the 2026 festival invites everyone to walk the streets, meet the artists and see why Benalla continues to stand proudly as Australia’s outdoor street art capital.
