That is the feedback from some of the attendees of the Deniliquin SHow from the weekend.
And it’s all thanks to the efforts of the Pastoral and Agricultural Show Soceity, who delivered events and attractions over three days.
Festivities began on Friday night with an official opening at Memorial Park, conducted by former P&A president Chantelle Shevels and including a crowd of sponsors, council representatives, volunteers and supporters.
Pavilion results and trophy presentations followed, and the induction of five new life members.
Lyn Rose, Judy Bond, Kevin Hare, Lynda Danckert and Richard Walker were all bestowed the honour.
Sideshow Alley also opened on Friday night, with many early birds getting in and having some fun on rides like The Kraken, Cha Cha and the Circus Fun House.
The Saturday program delivered a full day of activity from early in the morning, with livestock events, tiny tots, shearing, dog trials, carnival rides and sideshow attractions all proving popular.
“The shearing was awesome, and we had a strong crowd throughout the day” Show Society president Ayla Nganeko‑Begg said.
“The dog trials were a real crowd pleaser, and of course, the rides were great.”
Families made the most off the free activities, like the petting zoo, face‑painting, laser tag and the camel rides, while competitors took to the arena for the gumboot throw and other crowd‑pleasing events.
“Seeing the amount of kids walking around with face paint was fantastic,” Ms Nganeko‑Begg said.
“And it was very fun having the camels walking around the grounds.”
As the sun set, the atmosphere shifted into evening mode, with visitors settling in for food, music and the traditional fireworks display that closed out the 2026 Deniliquin Show.

Ms Nganeko‑Begg said the feedback since the gates closed has been overwhelmingly positive.
“The feedback from around town is amazing,” she said.
“We had people from other shows come and have a look, and they thought it was great.”
The president paid tribute to the volunteers and stewards who kept the show running smoothly behind the scenes.
“A huge shoutout to the volunteers; they don’t finish at the fireworks, and their work is very much appreciated” she said.
