Police have arrested a 45-year-old man after the body of a 32-year-old woman was found in Cobram.
Police say the man was known to the woman.
Two young children inside the property were not injured during the incident.
Officers responded to reports of a deceased woman at an apartment building on Christie Ave, Cobram, around 5am on Tuesday morning.

Cobram Police Station Senior Detective Sergeant Marcus Boyd said it was too early to release any details over the incident.
“Inquiries will be continuing throughout the day,” he said.
Police are on the scene with Ambulance Victoria and are treating the incident as suspicious.
A homicide investigation squad from Melbourne is travelling to Cobram to investigate what police believe to be suspicious circumstances around the incident.
